Variable Bit Rate
We cannot specify a maximum bit rate for variable bit rate settings, as the actual bit rate will depend on the image content, and the change in image content from one frame to the next. The maximum bit rate for the highest picture quality setting (=1) can be in excess of 30Mbps, even up to 40Mbps. An appropriate CF card, with adequate write performance is required to support these high bit rates, and provide reliable recordings. With the quality setting =2 or higher, it is unlikely the bit rate will exceed 20Mbps.
