MFR System

Powerful, scalable single module data acquisition solution.

The Stack ST8956 Multi-Function Recorder (MFR) can monitor a range of values, known as performance parameters, needed for effective car and driver management in most competitive situations.

The system consists of a 14 input sensor module with a built-in 32 MB data recorder. All of the sensors may be recorded at rates up to 200Hz.  Data recording can be configured to start when a parameter, eg, Engine Speed, rises above a preset value.

The recorder can hold 30 Runs and those runs can be downloaded to your PC using the Stack DataPro software.

The MFR can be used to drive a configurable remote Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), ST8995-2, in real-time.

The Multi-Function Recorder can record up to 45 channels across the Stack CAN network as a whole, with a network capacity of up to 4000 samples per second.

A WiFi/WLAN data download option is available on the ST8956-W version of the MFR.

Stack's Multi-Function (Data) Recording system combines the proven benefits of integrated STACK Display systems with the latest STACK data-logging technology. The module has the basic functions available out of the box: the advanced functions can be made operational simply by PIN code activation.

The “Clubman” function is perfect for the novice, the “Clubman-Plus” offers more recording channels, the “Semi-pro” system for more advanced requirements and the “Pro” system for extensive measuring tasks

Pin-code activation means upgrading is problem-free and can be done at any time.

Display Options
The MFR can be used to drive a either a Stack configurable remote Liquid Crystal Display (ST8995-2) or a Stack Steering Wheel Display (ST8600), in real-time.

Wi-Fi (W-LAN) Download
Enjoy the power and convenience of wireless data acquisition! The STACK WiFi (W-Lan) feature enables the transfer of recorded data to a PC, as well as wireless configuration of the system. The connection works on the 802.11b/g standard and depending on the antenna has a range of up to 150 feet.

Use with Stack’s powerful but easy-to-use DataPro data analysis software for a flexible and customizable remote data solution. The recorder can hold thirty runs and those runs can be downloaded to you PC using DataPro.

MF & MF2 Multi-Function Interface Modules
Used in conjunction with Stack’s Multi-Function Recorder, Multi-Function Displays and Digital Video Recorder, the Multi-Function Interface Expansion modules allow for the easy provision of additional inputs giving the flexibility to suit even the most complex applications.

One of more expansion modules may be networked together to provide up to a total of 128 inputs.

CAN interface option
Available as a option is a CAN ECU interface connection to the vehicle's CAN Bus which utilises 2 x 0-5V sensors inputs. The option kit comprises adaptor harness and PIN code. The CAN protocol can be imported from industry standard Vector .dbc files. Recorded data is downloaded to a PC via USB.

GPS interface option
Also available as a option is a GPS (NMEA 0183) interface connection, enabled by PIN code. Simply plug in a GPS receiver to capture speed, position, altitude, time and date information to complement the lateral-, long- and vertical-G data from the internal 3-axis accelerometer.
